Wall Rebar Detailing | How ALLTO PythonParts enables wall reinforcement in the shortest time

Source: ALLTO PythonParts, allplan.com

There are a wide range of reasons why walls may need to be reinforced, either during initial construction or as a remedial solution to a structural problem that has occurred at some point during the lifespan of a building. In many cases, reinforced concrete walls have special requirements.

Thus, when designing the building, the  designer must pay attention to the wall thicknesses, reinforcement contents and an appropriate reinforcement arrangement. In order to ensure the smooth and cost-effective execution of reinforced concrete walls, the designer must ensure correct functional and structural reinforcement management in the rebar detailing of reinforced concrete walls.

New features for Wall Reinforcement add-on for ALLPLAN: Mesh updates, Continuous wall, Niche/recess

Thanks to user feedback, we are constantly developing our Wall Reinforcement pythonparts for ALLPLAN Engineering. And that’s bringing benefits for Draftsmen/Designers and structural detailers in the form of increased in software functionality, accuracy, and work process efficiency.

However, change and growth also brings challenges. To stay competitive and keep up with demand, working efficiently is critical. With new, digital ways of working becoming increasingly common across the industry, achieving this efficiency requires digital tools, processes, and workflows that previously were regarded as an optional extra.

In the latest version (version 3.0),

Mesh updates:
– Remove mesh at small areas & include additional rebars for these areas.
– Direction of mesh can be changed.
– Mesh can be rotated 900.

Continuous wall: new functions to create reinforcement for continuous walls.

Niche/recess: new tab to define and create reinforcement for niche/recess in a wall.

Wall Reinforcement is a feature of our PythonParts in ALLPLAN that lets you create, update and modify reinforcement for wall reinforcement from simple to complicated one in ALLPLAN, even the slope Wall. It recognizes the shape of the wall panel and distributes the main reinforcement and additional reinforcement for wall openings.

Benefits of using Wall reinforcement pythonparts

Easy-to-use interface. Wall Reinforcement’s UI is consistent, easy-to-read, and stable, making it easy to learn and implement the tool in your company.
Speedy, universal & efficient. The tool will analyze walls of even the most complex shapes and apply reinforcement settings to them just in a few seconds. With just a few clicks, input data, you can check, review and then create section and label for the wall in different drawing depend on your need.

Saves 100s of hours. Rebar modeling is a tedious, time-consuming process. Even more so if you need to create multiple rebar shapes for each wall. Wall Reinforcement automates this process.

Standardized workflow. Rebar configurations are straightforward, and, once you prepare them, you can use them for current and future projects. You can also copy or share them with colleagues.

Standardize rebar settings for different wall types.
Easy updates. If your wall geometry changes, simply click Update to get the rebar layout to adapt to the new geometry.

For individual walls, the Modify command assists with adding unique rebar settings.

Versatility. Use the tool on solid, double, and sandwich walls. Modify rebar by using either tool commands or ALLPLAN. You can also add rebar manually by using ALLPLAN for unique situations.
